BioAnimation is my passion and I want to be the best at it.I enjoy unconventional narratives in my work, I discovered this when making my first film 'Phat Ride', a tribute to my bicycle and a thirst for milky goodness. In my second film '58', I used observational drawing as a means of communicating another personal anecdote. I wanted to capitalize on drawing’s ability to communicate honestly without hiding imperfections or mistakes. My next film 'Bald Dad', made at the Royal College of Art, developed my use of narrative that avoids twee closures. Taking inspiration from my memories, the film is about the various non-events that took place between me and my Dad when I was a child. All of my films so far feature myself in some way as with my M.A. graduation film 'Rabbit Punch' . In this film I sought to capture the growing pains of a 14 year old, Norfolk version of myself, wrestling with sexual identity, the responsibilities of adulthood; and an overbearing friend. I graduated from the R.C.A. last year and am currently directing both commercial and self initiated projects. Please feel free to contact me about anything what so ever. |
